The story of Rustic South began a long time ago, in the homeland of David and Andrea: Ecuador. Two inseparable souls who dreamed of discovering the world and leaving their mark behind. Adventurers at heart, they decided to embark on a journey filled with hope and determination, but always together.
Their first destination was Chile, where they found a new home for a year. It was there that David discovered his true passion: grilling. Inspired by the great North American grill masters and influenced by Chilean culinary traditions, he began to explore new cooking techniques and developed unique flavours with his grill. The flame of passion burned within him. He knew he had found his true calling.
But destiny had even more surprises in store for them. They set their course for Canada, a land they now call home. One day, while gazing at the breathtaking landscapes of Ontario, they were captivated by the majesty of nature. The cold climate and vast forests sparked a new culinary curiosity in David: smoked meat. Fascinated by the cooking methods and smoky flavours, David immersed himself in the art of smoking, perfecting his technique to reach excellence.
With their hearts full of emotions and with the experience gained from their journey, David and Andrea felt it was time to share their passion and culture with the world. And thus, Rustic South was born: a space where the senses come to life and diners embark on a unique culinary journey.
